Once more, we went on a journey of exploration with our taste senses and created something new for you: A cocoa liqueur! Our partner for this is the speciality distillery Kniffka, which, like us, is based in the Altmühltal.
Veronika and Dominik normally process fruit from their own fruit field in their distillery, but for us they ventured into cocoa. And the result is fantastic. For the cocoa liqueur, we use only selected cocoa beans, roast them to develop the unique cocoa aroma before finally taking them to the speciality distillery Kniffka. There they are macerated (i.e. soaked in alcohol) and then carefully distilled in a way that is gentle on the aroma. The rounding sugar is then added at the end of the production process. Before bottling, a sample is sent to a laboratory to determine the exact alcohol content. Once all this has been done, the liqueur is bottled by hand, labelled and finally goes into our shops.
